The
2006 legislative session began in early March, and will likely
continue into May. This year, there are a number of bills relating
to Canterbury Park that are likely to be introduced at the Legislature,
including:

A constitutional amendment, letting the people decide whether
a
Racino should be authorized for Canterbury Park;

A proposal to allow Canterbury Park to accept fees from licensed
US-based Internet horse racing sites already taking wagers from
Minnesota residents;

Eliminating restrictions on the Canterbury Card Room, so we can
increase the number of tables, offer banked games and allow
electronic card games.
